On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we spoke to eight people earning between LE1,000 and LE15,000 per month about how their spending has changed this year in light of rising prices and the devaluation of the pound. We asked them about the five main Eid expenses: meat consumption, new clothes, traditional financial gifts (edeya), outings and family gatherings. Here’s what they said.
